Dreamscapes that Alchemize Darkness to Light
Submerge yourself into a subconscious dream world where darkness meets light, where women emerge from the shadows' metamorphosis upon the sundial.

Dreams are the Reality
Surrealism, and Dreamscapes: The bridge between consciousness and the void of unconsciousness. The mirrors that produce the ego, and the clocks that transform the soul. I create soul portraits for the spiritual truth seeker.

Behind the Shadows
My work emerges from the profound depths of my soul, challenging convention through the close observation of the natural human experience. Each piece is a multi-faceted layer of my entire existence, reflecting the shifts and transformations of my own spiritual journey. My passion for color ignites a vision to bring forth the darker shadows that shape the soul and the ego. By integrating various mediums-including collage, acrylic, inks, and oil paint I develop the texture and deep layers that mirror stages of a woman's life including my own. My art is a metamorphosis, inviting my viewers to travel deep within their own subconscious as a way to find balance between the darkness hidden behind the light.

Ashley's Bio
Ashley identifies herself as a visual poet, and translator of the deep subconscious. Influenced by traumatic events she utilizes psychology, philosophy, alchemical theology, Hermetic principle, and new age concepts in order to connect to the divine embodiment of creation.
Born into humble beginnings without the support of either of her parents, Ashley lived with various relatives and spent time in foster care. Through her childhood experiences she learned to question generational cognitive dissonance and developed a thirst for independent research for higher knowledge. Following a quest into self-discovery she studied nursing, creative writing, poetry, drawing and painting. Spending sixteen years in the medical field, Ashley became restless feeling that she wasn't living her true purpose. After taking an art history course, she decided to revisit the imagination of her childhood. Through this deep introspective process, she taught herself how to paint and draw realism using various mediums. Ashley is a non-conformist with an open mind; she is fascinated by the many stages of each human experience and the way that these experiences shape who the person becomes in reality and in dreams. Happily married for nine years to her second Husband Michael, she is a mother to a beautifully diverse blended family of six children. An Ohio native, she enjoys exploring state parks, spending time at home with her family, and reading whatever interest crosses her path.
